Organization Database

These five categories are very much imperfect, since every issue intersects with every other issue. Some orgs are listed on multiple pages,  but almost all of them could be. This is only meant to be a starting point:

• Liberation: LGBTQ rights, anti-racism, women's rights, etc.
• Policy: peace & justice, the environment, voting & electoral activism, etc.
• Work: labor, economic justice, immigrant rights, etc.
• Communication: education, art, media, etc.
• Community: neighborhood groups, community centers, etc.

More resources: Most colleges, universities, and high schools have organizations to join, and they can be a great start if you're already in those spaces. For example, here's a database of UMN student organizations.

Additionally, organizations like the ACLU, Sierrra Club, Planned Parenthood, etc. often have local and/or campus branches. Here is a big list of national organizations doing good work.
